We have announced the Gold Medal winners
Aqua Stop Box, Safe Click secure packaging, and Sonopost paper protective profile – we have announced the products awarded the TAROPAK 2024 Gold Medal.
This year, three companies were recognized: SMURFIT KAPPA POLSKA, TFP, and SONOCO – ALCORE, whose products are innovative, creative, modern, and functional. The awarded products are also environmentally friendly, and their production allows for the recycling and reuse of recovered materials.
AquaStop™ - SMURFIT KAPPA POLSKA Sp. z o.o.
AquaStop™ is the latest innovation created as part of the Better Planet Packaging initiative. It is part of the new TechniPaper® portfolio, which includes a range of high-performance papers designed for even the most complex supply chains. AquaStop™ is water resistant thanks to a special coating added during the manufacturing process. Unlike many other coatings, it does not negatively impact recyclability. The paper can therefore be recycled similarly to standard paper packaging.
SafeClick packaging - TFP Sp. z o.o.
SafeClick: Designed with security in mind, our click-lock box restricts easy access to the interior. The locking elements, placed on both sides of the lid, are intuitive for adults, while at the same time effectively hindering access for children. The packaging is used to transport: capsules with plant nutrients, pet food and any other products that we want to limit access to for children, e.g. candy. The packaging is reusable and can be refilled with goods again.
Sonopost – paper protective profile - SONOCO - ALCORE Sp. z o.o.
Sonopost is an innovative packaging solution for protecting products in demanding conditions. It is a great alternative to packaging made of Styrofoam and other plastics. The product is made from 100% recycled paper from Sonoco's internal network of paper mills.

The second phase of the competition begins, where the awarded products now compete for the Gold Medal Consumers’ Choice Award.
From now until November 7, 2024, you can vote for what you believe is the best product at the Trade Fair. Voting takes place at www.zlotymedal.com.pl.
All the products awarded with the Gold Medal can be explored up close at the upcoming TAROPAK Fair, taking place from November 13-15, 2024.
