Award Gala
On November 14, during the grand opening of the TAROPAK Trade Fair, awards were presented for the TAROPAK Gold Medal and Acanthus Aureus competitions. The winners received commemorative statuettes and diplomas.
The official opening of TAROPAK 2024 was conducted by Filip Bittner, Vice President of the MTP Group Management Board. The ceremony included invited guests: Krzysztof Skrobot, Director of the Polish Chamber of Flexographers (Polska Izba Fleksografów); Konrad Nowakowski, President of the Polish Chamber for Packaging Recovery and Recycling (Polska Izba Odzysku i Recyklungu Opakowań); Krzysztof Niczyporuk, President of the Polish Chamber of Packaging (Polska Izba Opakowań); and Alicja Struniawska, Coordinator of the Creative Packaging Group Cluster.
This year, three products were honored with the Gold Medal:
- AquaStop™ by SMURFIT KAPPA POLSKA Sp. z o.o.
- SafeClick packaging by TFP Sp. z o.o.
- Sonopost paper protective profile by SONOCO - ALCORE Sp. z o.o.
The Gold Medal Consumers' Choice award went to SONOCO - ALCORE for the innovative Sonopost paper protective profile.
The winners received their awards from Filip Bittner, Vice President of the MTP Group Management Board, and Andrzej Korzeniowski, Chairman of the Jury.
The Acanthus Aureus awards, which recognize modern, welcoming, and distinctive exhibition stands, were presented to:
- TFP Sp. z o.o.
- Supertape Polska Sp. z o.o.
- Polcom Przemysław KIMLA
During the opening ceremony of the TAROPAK Trade Fair, special anniversary diplomas were awarded to ‘Packaging Polska’ for its 25 years on the Polish publishing market and to the Polskie Stowarzyszenie Sitodruku i Druku Cyfrowego and the Polish Chamber of Packaging in honor of their 30th anniversaries. Warm wishes were extended to the anniversary recipients for continued success and new challenges.
After the awards gala, an industry evening event—Networking Party—was held with speakers from the TAROPAK E-COMMERCE Conference, TAROPAK exhibitors, and invited guests. This provided a fantastic opportunity to discuss with industry experts in a more relaxed atmosphere, share experiences and inspirations, and establish new connections that could develop into long-term partnerships.
